Overview of Seminars

CCS was founded in 1977 by Jeff Bishop, who by that time had been teaching courses for IICRC certification for over four years.  His career in the cleaning/restoration business began as a youth working with his father.  At one point, he was the only instructor teaching courses leading to IICRC certification, and today, there are over 100 IICRC-approved instructors, many of whom are former CCS students.

While there are many industry courses that qualify for certification, we believe that, to maximize their investment in education, students should consider instructor qualifications carefully, based on the following:

  • Formal education - CCS instructors have university degrees in management and in textiles.

  • Industry education - CCS instructors are Master Cleaners and Restorers, and Inspectors of carpet, vinyl and wood flooring as well.

  • Publishing - CCS instructors have written literally hundreds of articles on cleaning, inspection and restoration subjects for industry associations and magazines.  Our instructors publish monthly columns in industry magazines.

  • Speaking - Again, CCS instructors have spoken and still speak as volunteers at over two dozen conventions, workshops and symposiums annually.

  • Standards - CCS instructors personally developed the original versions of the carpet and upholstery cleaning standards and the water damage restoration standard.  They currently work on all IICRC and Carpet and Rug Institute standard development and revision committees.

  • Technical studies - CCS instructors stay on the cutting edge of industry technology working with the EPA and trade associations on major studies on indoor air quality, carpet laminates, extraction tool efficiency and carpet soils.

  • Consulting - CCS instructors consult routinely on chemical formulation, IEQ, equipment specification, floor covering specification and installation-related matters.  They are the acknowledged industry experts.

  • Expert testimony - CCS instructors have testified in court and in depositions regarding: management, carpet performance, mold remediation, pricing, and safety and health issues.

  • Reference books/videos - CCS publishes 13 technical books on cleaning and restoration topics, as well as the industry's only Glossary of Technical Terms.  We have produced 6 videos and 3 marketing programs as well.

  • Audio visual - CCS was the first to convert virtually all instruction programs to PowerPoint presentations, which greatly enhances the student's learning experience.  Over half of our courses are taught in our own state-of-the-art conferencing and hands-on training facility in Dothan, AL.

  • Course manuals - CCS student manuals are written in an easy-to-use format and style.  Course manuals are updated semi-annually to stay abreast of the latest technology.  Study guides are sent to all students prior to course dates to help prepare you for IICRC exams.

In short, there is a difference in courses and instruction.  When you attend a course sponsored by CCS, you are guaranteed the industry's most comprehensive and thorough training.  If you aren't satisfied by noon the first day, simply tell the instructor, "I'm out of here!"  Your tuition will be refunded in full.  Maximize your training investment with Clean Care Seminars.  See our current course schedule or call 800 455-4278 for further information and registration.
